Important COVID update

Changes to hospital visitors requirements in accordance with WA Health, effective 3 March, 2022.

The Western Australian government has directed level 2 public health measures are to come into effect from 3 March 2022.

In line with this, WA Health has moved code “red alert” resulting in further directions within the WA Health COVID-19 Framework. Marian Centre is required to comply with these directions as all hospitals in Western Australia.

The hospital management team have reviewed, and continue to review, how these directions will be implemented within the hospital to minimise risk for all patients, visitors and staff.

Visitors

This impacts hospital visitors. From 3 March 2022 no visitors will be permitted entry to the hospital with the exemption of spouses, parents or carers or for compassionate reasons. Any visits for compassionate reasons must be approved by the CEO / Director of Clinical Services. A maximum of two (2) visitors are permitted at one time to ensure social distancing compliance.

Requirements

All visitors will be required to provide a negative RAT on entry to the hospital, for each visit. Visitors will be required to provide their own RAT for every visit to the hospital.

Visiting hours will remain within current guidelines:

  • Weekdays - 3.30pm to 5.15pm
  • Weekends - 1.30pm to 3.15pm
