Adolescent patients aged between 16 -18 years old who are referred to the in patient service are required to be assessed in the consulting rooms by an Accredited Psychiatrist to assess suitability prior to admission .
Prior to admission patients must agree to be compliant with the hospital adolescent management plan which outlines expectations for the inpatient stay
Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in the treatment plan.
Arrangements regarding study and schooling will be made on a individual basis with the treating team and the patient.
