Dr Amanda North

Prior to studying medicine Dr North studied psychology at the University of Melbourne. She graduated with first class honours before working in a private psychology practice with youth and adults. Dr North then worked with AusAID and the United Nations with refugees in Sri Lanka. She then worked as a research fellow at the Brain Bank in Sydney before undertaking her medical training at the University of Western Australia and psychiatry training in Perth. Dr North has enjoyed being involved in teaching and in both public and private psychiatry.

Dr North is interested in adult psychiatry but specialises in adult ADHD, anxiety disorders and mood disorders. She is a member of multiple ADHD networks and organisations and always endeavours to stay on top of the latest evidence in her clinical practice whilst also tailoring it to the individual.
