Dr Irina Kompardt graduated in medicine from the University of Hannover in Germany where she also undertook her specialist training. She is a qualified Psychiatrist in Australia as well as in Germany.

In 2009, she relocated to Australia and completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

Dr Kompardt has worked across inpatient and outpatient mental health settings in Western Australia for many years as a Consultant Psychiatrist.

Dr Kompardt's genuinely caring and warm nature makes her patients feel at ease. Irina ensures that patient care is personalised taking into account the array of social and cultural factors that impact on the individual patient. She will work with each patient to undertake a comprehensive assessment, discuss diagnosis and management that also considers the interaction between physical and mental illness. Irina is interested in the relationship between mental health and the role of “lifestyle factors” such as physical activity, diet and sleep in the onset and treatment of mental disorders.
