Professional background
Dr Glen Meggs is a Western Australian trained psychiatrist whose clinical practice is underpinned by individualized and compassionate care. Glen follows a holistic (biopsychosocial) approach to patient care and works collaboratively with other health professionals in a multidisciplinary manner. Glen’s areas of interest include, but are not limited to, mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders including schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and methamphetamine dependence. Glen also has a special interest in sports psychiatry, including both the treatment of athletes and facilitation of structured exercise as adjunct therapy for a range of mental health conditions in non-elite athletes.
Prior to studying medicine Glen was an accomplished swimmer and Japanese translator.
